Blog Moved

I have changed the blog name from Experimental.Logic to </Terminate> and since WordPress doesn’t allow to change the blog name, I have moved the blog to a new address-

Terminate Blog

All the content is same there  apart from a new new Games and About page.

Update

Well, couldn’t post anything for a long time as there was no time or anything much interesting to post. Had 2 sets of exams in last 3 weeks, so couldn’t get my prototypes completed, a visual novel kind of thing.(without visuals :P )
Maybe I should post regular Saturday/Sunday updates even if it’s not useful/or is insane.
So, here are my goals for next week-
-Update the blog, add a new ‘Games’ page.
-Work on a few prototypes.
-(Maybe)Change the blog name to something else, some R&D company is there with the same name.
-Something more I can’t think of right now. :D

Cell.Protect Stats

Cell.Protect was released 2 days ago on Gamejolt and on IndieDB,. I din’t do much on GJ but managed to creep in the popular game section of IndieDB(i didn’t actually expect that). So here are some stats about the game:

VIEWS

IndieDB : 536

GameJolt : 62

DOWNLOADS

IndieDB : 71

GameJolt : 3

DropBox : Unknown (maybe 1 or 2)

So, in total I got approximately 600 views and 75 downloads mainly because of IndieDB, it was kind of lucky that I submitted it there. The views and plays are really less compared to what I got for my online flash games even though they were much more crappier(now I know why everybody wants to make their games online :P )

Edit: Ooops! forgot to give the IDB links:

Cell.Protect Released!

I released Cell.Protect a few minutes ago on Gamejolt.com The game is pretty much finished except a single bug that doest not allow you to play the game again without exiting( actually it does allow to play, but a bit late). So, here is some description about the game and download links-

It will take some time before the game is verified on Indiedb, so till then play the game and don’t forget to rate it on GameJolt!

Cell.Protect Update

Cell.Protect is nearly done and I am trying to release it as soon as possible. After hours of hunting the web for a good soundtrck, scirra forum member ‘Spiffyk’ did the music for the game. Thanks Spiffyk!
The game will be/may be downloadable from the following sites:
GameJolt
IndieDB
From This Blog(using Box.Net)
Although the game is nearly completed, it didn’t come up as I wanted mainly because of lack of sound effects and my drawing abilties. But still, I am happy that I have a completed game after such a long time.

[WIP]Cell.Protect

I’ve been working on this game for a while in spite of being busy with schoolwork. Here is the link to the thread on Scirra about this game-

All the info is there. Hope you like it.

LOVED

My favortite genre of games are art games. These games don’t require quick reflexes, prefect for slowpokes like me. But the best part about them is that THEY MAKE ME THINK. Even after I complete the game I can’t stop thinking about it, comparing myself and the character in the game. Games like LOVED are rare to find, but the experience of playing it is totally different from regular games.
There is no definite theme for LOVED, it depends on you how you interpret it. And if you truly want to experience the game, play the game before reading any of the summaries of the game given by other players. Check how would you react when a someone YOU love asks you to do something(There is a reason why I’ve written ‘you’ in caps, soon after playing the game you’ll know why)

Yup, I was busy writing this and it really took a long time mainly because I was taking lots and lots of screenshots(32). This tutorial will teach you how to make a vertical shooter in Construct, complete with dynamic background and particle effects! Here is how your completed game will look-

Below are the download links. The rar file has the completed source code, 2 sprites and the instruction file.  Yes, the sprites suck but it is the best my drawing abilities can churn out right now. Enjoy!
